Under the concept of blending borders and crossing
boundaries, Jose Duque's ZumbaTres is a band back , where the subtle combination of French Impressionism and the rhythmic flare of South American Culture takes a sharper turn. Rooting the music in the essence of jazz, the band, led by Venezuelan-born drummer, Jose Duque, offers an invigorating new sound that blends odd meter time signatures with their Latin influenced rhythms.
The origins of today's ZumbaTres is The Zumbao Trio, which featured Luis Gonzalez on guitar and Jeremy Hill on bass. The band came out with an album, Zumbao Trio, in 2001. Jose has performed with "Amaya: Flamenco Sin Limites", Venezuelan pop artist Felix Roman, Juan Francisco, Roldan Pena's Jazz 3, Flamenco y Duende, and Sara es Rara. He is also currently the drummer/percussionist for The Randy Armstrong Trio, T.J Wheeler, and Ottawa based flamenco guitarist, James Cohen

Gagosian Liga says:
"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music!
