Leslie Feist, I know that there have been times when I have let you down.
In elitist fashion, I have put you down.
(But the truth is, I kinda wanna lay you down.)

Despite what I have said in the past, Feist's new album is really good.

"The Reminder" feels a lot more like Broken Social Scene (in places, like track "I Feel It All") to me than did "Let It Die." At first I hated it, but it's just so damn catchy! You cannot pretend to hate her weird-ass hypnotic Canadian voice.

I think I can even say honestly that "The Reminder" is more consistent in its charm than was "Let It Die." "Let It Die" absolutely amazed me with tracks like "Mushaboom" and "Secret Heart," and broke my little heart with "Lonely Lonely," but the rest of it was overall just kind of eh. Pretty much hit-or-miss for me. Each song either left me jaw-dropped and awestruck OR desperately trying to fight off slumber.

However, while "The Reminder" lacks truly mind-blowing tracks, it manages to supply an array of evenly spread nice little ditties. I'd say my favorite is "1234," which I have uploaded to sendspace so that you may download it. Here you go.
