X:144 is hip hop's contemporary depiction of a young Herbie Hancock whose skills go beyond the mere ability to be an emcee. Instrumentalist who has mastered the art of listening, X:144 is the production mastermind behind some of hip hop veterans and up and coming artists. He is the creator of his production company, Transparent Dark Productions. He has produced music for Mars Ill, MF Doom, Psyche Origami, and has been the mixing engineer for Kool G Rap, MF Doom and Sol.illaquists of Sound. In 2005 X:144 and DJ SPS teamed up to fashion a new sound while incorporating the sounds reminiscent of his youth. He emceed, produced, and mixed their debut album M.E. which was released in 2006 on Nonsense Records. X:144 was Producer of the Year in 2003 which was awarded at the Orlando Urban Music Awards. In 2005 he Became the Bangin' Beats Producer Champ, then went on to become Lounge Battles Producer Champion 2007, and is now SCRIBBLE JAM'S FIRST PRODUCTION BATTLE CHAMPION 2007!!!
