Will Sledge began leading worship shortly after surrendering to the call of Christ in his life at the age of 19. Will began to teach himself guitar and soon joined the youth praise band at his new church. When the singers of the youth praise band quit, he had no choice but to move from playing guitar to leading the band all the while learning as he leaped. After experiencing the presence of God while Jason Wallis lead worship at local D-now, Will knew his calling to lead worship was much more than just a hobby. A couple years later, Will moved from Florence, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama and began leading worship regularly for the youth and college ministries at Taylor Road Baptist Church. It was there that Will joined up with guys now known as the Will Sledge Band and began ministering at a new volume... literally. The band is often known for cranking out some loud worship and enabling people to really "sing their hearts out," but on the flip side they can bring things down to a more simplified worship set building on the idea that sometimes... less is more. After years of experience the Will Sledge Band offers worship on a professional level and can be found leading people to the Throne Room of God with the best of them but, aside from leading worship the band can also provide more of a concert set doing originals, covers, and live jams depending on the needs for the event. However, although most bands are known for their music, Will Sledge and the Band are firm believers that "Ministry Happens on the Other Side of the Stage" as they spend their time off stage investing in the lives of the people surrounding them.
