Will is a United Methodist pastor trapped in the body of a rocker. Hailing from rural southern Illinois, he has a deep appreciation for rock and roll, blues, folk, Americana, surf, any instrument with strings, and all things African. His chief influences are Steve Earle, the Beatles, Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters, Wilson Pickett, Buddy Miller, Otis Redding, Howlin' Wolf, Los Straitjackets, the Ventures, Reverend Horton Heat, Carl Perkins, Bob Dylan, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, Southern Culture on the Skids, Ryan Adams, Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder, Duane Allman, Ben Harper, Taj Mahal, Robert Randolph, and others.
In high school Will was the guitarist in a local Christian group called the Believers. When that band fell apart, some of the remnants of that group became the punk-garage band Kaos, who performed publicly twice: once at the now-defunct Chuck's Recreation Center in Carrier Mills, IL; and once at the Carrier Mills High School Christmas assembly.
After a long hiatus, Will joined forces with Steve Wierman to form Blue Heron (clearly not a unique name), which evolved from a folky acoustic duo, to a folky acoustic trio to a full-fledged electric Americana-soul band. While they did not perform often, their musicianship and songwriting were appreciated in the Carbondale scene.
Will's only public performances these days are in church and closely related to his current vocation. However, he continues to expand his rock and roll palette by honing his chops on guitar, bass and ukulele while driving his wife and children crazy with his passion for acquiring gear.
Due to the influence of Daddy-O Grande of Los Straitjackets, Will has learned to write about himself in the third person.

Gagosian Liga says:
"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music!
