Marin Perot a.k.a. "White Sails" is a singer songwriter from Rennes, France. He is, with fellow musician Nicolas Gautier, a member of the indie duo " The Missing Season". The project " White Sails " gathers all the songs Marin Perot wrote between the coastline of Bretagne, the city of Melbourne, New Zealand mountains and a fair amount of R.E.M. sleep.

In 2007 both "White Sails" and "The Missing Season" joined the D.I.Y. label of "My Little Cab Records" and so "White Sails"' debut album " The Hidden Star" was released

The 14 songs of the album were written on various guitars, some were cheap, some borrowed, some imaginary as imaginary instruments are much more convenient to carry when writing a song during a long walk. All lyrics were composed with great concern, on various notepads, bits of papers and torn cigartte packs. After a while, Marin settled down enough to buy a computer and a microphone and so he decided to lock those songs into a cd and see what other people would do with it. Here it is: "The Hidden Star"
