I write and say rhymes for the people. I like designing junk, taking pictures, and listening to music (the good stuff not that wack stuff). Me and my wife like to chill out, chill out, and umm.... chill out. My dream is to make a whole album, whistling.
I have been involved with hip hop since its early days. In my hometown, Cincinnati, after hearing songs like Rapper's Delight and The Breaks on the radio, I knew that it was something special. From that point I had begun to rap a little here and there, forming groups/crews with the other kids in my neighborhood. My first emceeing name was Kid Fresh and my first song, Its a Cold, Cold World, was written with my older cousin. Over time I had became a huge advocate of the hip hop culture. Influenced by much of the late 80s and early 90s rap (De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Leaders of the New School, Black Sheep, The Pharcyde, Boogie Down Productions, Public Enemy, EPMD, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Eric B & Rakim, and Poor Righteous Teachers to name a few) I would develop a knack for writing rhymes on numerous topics. But the day I decided to take it serious, I could not be more disappointed with what I saw in hip hop. The decline of the conscious rap movement and over-commercialization of hip hop began to take a toll on my love for the music. In contrast to the late 90s movement in hip hop I, fueled by my faith in God, would begin to pen rhymes that were greatly influenced by my Christian values. In 1996, at Iowa State University, I helped form the crew Rhymes Elect, which began doing shows at local churches in Central Iowa. Over the years Rhymes Elect has performed in a number of cities and have released one record (Lyrical Resurrection in 2001). In 2005, I began to work my first solo project. Listening Session is a record molded to grab the listeners attention with classic hip hop and a sound message. I purposely stretched myself on this record, choosing various unorthodox beats to rhyme over. Lyrical tactics, combined with strong production from Tony Stone has produced a record that I hope will mold the listeners ears with messages of faith (Fatherless Child), fun (Funky Dividends), and focus (We Do It, feat. Tony Stone & Mark J). I'm still a member of Rhymes Elect (www.myspace.com/rhymeselect). Signet-ring, DJ Selah, and myself are on a mission. We plan to drop our second record, Irregular Remedy, this spring (production from none other than Tony Stone).

Everything, although I can listen to anything; buy a lot of things; support some things, and believe only a few.
Lost, 24, Prison Break, Heroes, Survivor (especially since it's more diverse), 30 Rock, The Office...
I like watching movies, even the horrible ones. Maybe I'll make one one of these years.
