Mike Slansky has been making electronic music since 1994. Unterm Rad is his side project, a more personal effort than rekt and Aural, his work with longtime conspirator and UR guest synthesist atomatik13. Remix credits include Hecq, Ginormous, Claus Muzak, and Textbeak. He has also made guest DJ appearances on the radio show Hidden Forms.

He is also a graphic designer, and his work can be found in many album covers, including Totakeke, Emerging Organisms, and The PQ Sessions.

ha! 'beneath the wheel" is also one of my favorites - and my favorite hesse book either - most of his' other work is a bit too... hm.. 'lyrical' for me... P.A.L is only an acronym of my family name (pallentin) - my DVD-player and my tv set don't care if it's PAL or NTSC, thank god...
