This musical adaptation of the famous Greek play by Euripide, "The Bacchae", with a rock band and orchestra, is Tsar Shate II's latest project The action takes place in antique Greece, in the city of Thebes, where Dionysus, the god of wine and madness (among many other attributes) shows up to be recognized as such. Pentheus, the ruling king of Thebes, fails to see the deity of Dionysus and is thus punished.
Some songs include a full orchestra playing (track n# 1,2,3,7, 11). These scores were composed with the help of Gregorio Zanon, a rising composer. They are majestic, wonderful and astonishingly modern (far away from the classic "ambiance strings").
In short, The Bacchae is innovative and rare in both it's conception and harmonies. The concept of possibility building a musical play of it makes this work even more valuable.
