I spend a lot of time studying these days because I feel it is pretty important. Other than that I wish I was more involved in doing college stuff since I am attending college, maybe I should try to get some friends...
My favorite genre of music is rock and I listen to bands like: Forgive Durden, This Providence When I want to hear some talented musicians: Jazz Miles Davis, The RH Factor, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker When I want to hear a different sound: Rap Mos Def, Kanye West, Talib Kweli When I want to be entertained with catchy non-sense: Rap/R&B Lloyd Banks, Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, Chamillionaire
The following movies actually are not 'film noir.' If you want to see a good example of a film noir you should watch Mildred Pierce. Also if you do see it you and I could talk about how much of a stuck up whiny brat the daughter is. Layer Cake, Confidence, The Departed, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Fargo, Jarhead, Inside Man, The Manchurian Candidate, Seven, Lucky Number Slevin, Rounders, Good Will Hunting, Slackers, Saving Private Ryan, Tommy Boy, Troy, V for Vendetta, Van Wilder
Funny stuff like Seinfeld, The Office, South Park, Family Guy, Chappelle's Show
Some books don't necessarily have to be intellectual masterpieces to strengthen the brain, but I think anytime a person reads their brain because much more active then if they spent the same time staring at the TV or playing video games. (Mind you that I spend a lot of time watching TV and playing video games) Fahrenheit 451, Sex Drugs and Cocoa Puffs, Freakonomics. Right now I'm reading the Rescue Artist and it is pretty interesting and on the to read list I have Empire Rising and Sailor's Song.
