" One step ... The hardest one of all to place the left before the right
But, we're running, now ... "

- Baby Steps , Travis Singleton

The fall of 2004 saw the start of something fresh. Something different. And for 25-year old Travis Singleton, something that felt like a dream. Now, over three years later, that dream is steadily becoming a reality.

Playing guitar for over ten years now, and writing lyrics since his college days at East Tennessee State University, Travis blends originality with inspiration through his acoustic driven songs. "I've always enjoyed music," Travis says, "even from an early age. I've never truly settled on one particular style. I'm always looking for something new, something inspiring to get my attention. I can go from Peter Gabriel to Jim Croce while I'm driving down the highway with ease. You've got to keep your mind open if you want to be inspired to do something original". The songs tell stories of life, whether it be through personal experience or not. "I just want to make music that people can relate to. If that means they relate to a lyric, or if it's more about the musical part, I don't think it matters. I thrive off the feeling that someone has heard something and left with their thoughts being provoked".

Coffee houses , small bar/restaurants, college campuses, as well as established music venues have played host to Travis' performances. In August of 2007, Travis had the great opportunity of opening for Nashville super talent Andy Davis. The following November, Travis headlined at the famous Eddie's Attic in Atlanta , GA as part of their MySpace Artist Showcase Series. Travis earned this by means of The Attic's online voting contest, held during the summer of 2007. Artists and bands were nominated by their fans, then, nominees were reviewed by the staff of Eddie's Attic. The final list was chosen, and fans were then allowed to vote. Travis placed 4th out of 18 participants, with two of the top three artists being from Atlanta. "Eddie's is a tremendous venue. Just to able to perform there, I feel, is a great accomplishment. The experience was incredible. I hope to go back soon".

Travis currently books performances in support of his October 2006 EP release, Along For The Ride. The project was recorded in Nashville , TN under the production guidance of Mark Wagner. Several area musicians lent their talents to the sessions. "Mark did a fantastic job of putting this project together. Clint Milburn is an AMAZING guitarist, and anytime you can have Ben Shive do ANYTHING on your record, it's a true blessing". Though the EP was a full band project, the live shows tend to be solo/acoustic performances. "I love the intimacy of the shows right now. One guy, one guitar...It's a neat experience. But, it is a goal of mine to be able to travel full time with a band, and perform these tunes to their fullest potential. It's definitely something I'm working towards this year".

The dream is alive and well, and with an ever growing fan base, the realization of that dream is in clear view.
