Evil does not exist

I understand the term "evil" as being analogous to "bad" in that it is a human construct or concept that is relative to and dependant on that in which a human perceives as "good." Good and evil are simply the results of one's discrimination between this and that and are in relation to how one thinks things "ought" to be. So it is my observation that evil does not exist in form, only in concept.
The decent American says:
I agree, evil I think has it's roots tied to religious implications, and is thrown around loosely, that being said, people have done horrid things to each other since day one" and the word is easily used to describe such things,but that would buy into the thinking of "the devil" made them do it...which is truly at the heart of much of the "bullshit" that "the church" has sold to the masses over the years.....I personally don't believe in the devil or evil , but like all of us, have to live with its symbolism rooted deep in our history.
