so I dont know if anyone out there is a fan of the RSS Visualizer? I dont really use it to read RSS feed, but it is some sweet eyecandy. Anyway I realized last night that I remember seeing apps to make your desktop run a screensaver before....and that the blue clouds in the background would look amazing floating around on your desktop. Minus the actual feed...
So first I figured out how to make the RSS Visualizer not have a feed:
1. search RSS Visualizer. you'll find a .plist file in a ByHost folder.
2. open that file in any program that can open .plists
3. delete the url for the feed.
4. save
voilá...nice blue background. now:
1. download one any of the programs that make your desktop a screensaver. I'm using Dscreen cause its free, courtesyhttp://www.marcorotatori.com/index.php?p=DScreen
2. choose RSS Visualizer
3. stare at your desktop
I doesnt use a large amount of CPU because it is only processing the blue clouds, but of course it still is slightly slower. its just a cool background when your surfing the net or instant messaging, or if you just leave computers on around the house/office. can be shut off from the menubar when using bigger programs. of course a screenshot does not show motion, but here's one anyway. feel free to message me if you have a question.
p.s. my mouse doesn't look like that. capture did it.
