Péter Galló was born in the summer of 1977. As a child he learnt to play the drums until, as a teenager, moving on to become the bassist in a hardcore/punk rock band.
He first made the transition to electronic music in 1994, exploring such styles as EBM and acid until, later, moving in to the breakbeat and drum’n'bass arena. In 1999 Peter started a new project called ‘Quantum State’ (which is still a strong force in the hungarian trance music scene today), and in the early part of Autumn 2004 started a triphop/abstract hiphop/downtempo based project known as the “ToyBoX”, an undertaking he originally set out on alone.

Evelyne Kandech was born in 1984 and was educated at a music/vocal orientated elementary school and, after several years of singing in various choirs, she decided to learn the cello (which she played in small orchestras and classical bands), until turning her extensive musical and vocal talents towards the triphop music scene and joining the band ‘Mindig Mas’.

Peter and Evelyne’s paths crossed at the end of 2004, turning ‘ToyBoX‘ in to primarily, a two person project, although this often is (and will continue to be) expanded upon with the use of guest musicians and artists.
