I've always struggled with "Christian" genres of music. Christian music went through some pretty embarassing phases in the 80's and 90's, what makes the "Cartoon" song Christian anyways? I digress... Christian music has always seemed like at best a carbon copy of pop music and at worst a rip-off of it. Where is the originality, depth of message and creativity that attracts me to the musical medium of art in Christianity? There are a few; Keith Green, Jason Upton, Derek Web, Jars of Clay, Bob Dylan oops(well maybe) Lecrae?
