Tonight was the Art Walk in Jacksonville, Florida. I haven't seen so many people cruisin' the rues ever at an Art Walk. It seems that the venue is picking up steam and noteriety. Pretty exciting! MOCA was pretty amazing, being the Modern Art Museum that it is. There were Pollock and Picasso lithographs and Lichtensteins. There were also some amazing minimalist pieces that blew me away.
I am currently working on an Audrey Hepburn painting series. I finished the first canvas today before heading downtown. After I'm done I may do one on Johnny Cash. Do a whole pop culture theme! I am also working on some graphic pieces, a series on some of Jesus' parables. The first volume will be a set of three. I'm trying to get them done for an art show on the 25th.
It's really exciting to be on break from school. I enjoy not having to think too hard. Now I can relax some and hopefuly dig deep into Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Melissa is bugging to talk to me about it. Well, that covers it. Til next time.
