I am a 20 year old Male from the South Coast of England. I was brought up in the seaside town of Bournemouth where i left school and went straight into work. During the first few years of leaving school i worked as a web designer in a local company, learning alot and finding out alot about myself, from there i went on to do freelance web design work and expanded my interests into other areas or art and design.

In 2006 i decided i wanted to reach out in other directions and stayed in my home town to study photography. I took a National Certificate in Photography at The Arts Institute Bournemouth. Having mostly a media background i was already use to digital photography, but here i was introduced to other formats, such as 35mm and Medium Format. This opened up an entire new world for me and i found a new love. After completing this course i went on to study a FDA in Interactive Media. From starting this course i didn't feel it was right, and wasn't pushing me in the right direction. I was struggling to find any real purpose to the course or to push my skills in any way. In early January of this year i dropped out to reconsider my options at this point. Realising my passion for Photography was still as strong as ever i decided to apply for a course in photography at University College Falmouth in Cornwall.

I have now got a place at Falmouth to study a BA (hons) in Press Photography this September. I really want to push my skills into new areas and find new styles, as well as finding myself. Cornwall is a beautiful place and i really think studying here will help me concentrate on what i want to achieve. My passion for design is still there and i still work on it every day; my photography will end up complimenting my design and vice versa.
