About

I'm a 22 year old Design Student from Brisbane, Australia.

Hi!

This Virb site is mainly a protest against Myspace. Was lead here by . . . someone , who I cant quite remember anymore - but it's all so empty here.

Feel free to comment, chat, say hi - I'm always around and willing to talk to new people. I imagine I'll bet putting random photos / videos / drawings up here.

My blog, where I post most of my rants, lives at : http://moads.wordpress.com/, or feel free to contact me here!

Did you get the Kath & Kim "birthday" reference? You don't call your sketches 'drawing'? Why not? I taught a couple of Art & Visual Communication classes today and was inspired enoguh to start drawing (or sketching) some ideas for a new Virb layout theme, headers etc. I just need to learn how to use Illustrator more effectively, and also I suck at drawing with a mouse, even tablets show my incompetence of translating any designs to the screen. But meanwhile I think I've got enough html/css know-how now to tackle a full redesign without having to learn how to implement ideas before I do so. Yay me! Good luck for the swotting!

Hey boy wonder, how's things? It's my annual clean-up day so I'm giving the house a proper birthday (cos in this house, it's literally a birthday). The lack of storage space is the real reason behind all the clutter - or should I say, our larger-than-average storage space is filled with my partner's comic book collection! Down to the garage already...

Big fan of Firefly, did you know Nathan Fillion is an improviser? The AD of Impro Melb, Patti Stiles, used to play with him and she was the first one to put us on to Firefly. I love a good sci-fi comedy but I'm not fangirl enough to be connected to what's happening beyond what I hear about through friends. My beau helps there - he's an IT geek and the sheer number of RSS feeds he's subscribed to terrifies me... Oh, and his ENORMOUS DVD collection is how I discovered most of my newly beloved shows - or at least how I got to see the episodes that weren't available for download. Yes, I'm a downloader and I'm proud of it.

PLEASE tell me that your brother has to put up with as many "You look like Andrew G" comments as his photo would suggest! Meanwhile, yay on you for the personality tags - big big kudos for Firefly (and Serenity, I s'pose...), how did I miss those??

Hm, not sure what group Tess used to perform with, but I know ImproMafia well - I played with Wade & Dan in the Halloween Classic (Theatresports) held by Impro Melb last year. Fun guys.

Ooooh, does your brother know (of) Tess Waters? Or her friends Lou and Troy (unknown surnames)? They moved down here from Brizvegas a little over a year ago and are in the "apprentice" level of Impro Melbourne. Tess is a good mate of mine, I have to abduct her over to Virb, she's a myspacer at the mo. Also not a fan of the "enter key/break code denied"-ness of Virb comments... I guess they are anti the multiple-topic comment...

... Woah, I just watched the h4xX0r subtitles on The IT Crowd and almost started this comment with "gRe3tZ"! ... Thanks for the comment - it looks like you posted two and the clever Virb pixies conjoinionated them? (Unless you edited them, though it doesn't look like that...) Blackadder does have a special place in my heart. Those darn personality tages, it's about what pops into your head at the time eh? I could probably triple all my tag amounts if I really wanted to, and gosh jeebus I could pack more book titles in there... But I tend to assume people scan-read tags, and don't really care anyway, so why bother? Thank God You're Here: My Mates. Well, I perform with impro theatre company Impro Melbourne. I guess the TGYH person you would know best is Julia Zemiro, a mate of mine who actually got me into Impro Melb a couple of years ago, back when I was a burgeoning comedy junkie having moved to Melbourne to study Performing Arts at Monash. I'm also good mates/perform with a lot of the improvisers in the support cast - Lliam Amor, Simon Dowling, Nicola Parry (she's in it a lot, the thin woman with curly hair)... So yeah, that's my crowd. I suppose I should extend my profile to include more personal stuff, but I was mostly planning to create a "me me me" page and have my jewellery page stand alone... Cheers big ears, and thanks for looking at my wares! Jess
