In doubt there is an odd kind of certainty. It's like riding a bike. You could fall at any moment, but it also feels impossible to fall. The thing that keeps you up is the same thing that can knock you down. But also in doubt there is no real risk. Risk involves letting go of doubt and moving fully into faith, where the greatest risk lies. What if I am wrong? What if I make a fool of myself? What if it sounds awful? What if God is not what I had hoped after all?
