Biography

In 2002 Jonathan was watching MTV´s "Alternative Nation" in the middle of the night. The video of Slowdive - Alison came on, and he immediately know that this track would change his life forever. At first, Jonathan thought this was the new shit, but after some research on the net, he discoverd that Slowdive had bin gone for a long long time. He aslo learnd that the sound was described as Shoegaze, and were a part of an era in the early to mid 90´s, before the huge britt-pop wave. Today Jonathan feels abit melancholic about that he missed what he belives was a time of pure magic.

In the mid 90´s Jonathan was going to rave-parties, and had moast intrest in electronic music. He started putting his own studio together, and started producing. By the year of 1998 he released his first 12" EP on a small electronic music label. He then continued on this path, which resulted in about 16 EP´s and a bunch of compilations on various labels until today.

After his experience in 2002, Jonathan slowly moved more and more towards the shoegaze sound, like he heard in Slowdive´s music. He started jamming on his guitar every night infront of the TV, and came up with some ideas. At first he just made some test-tracks, trying to reach the sound he was looking for. Some years later, he finaly finnished his first demo. He now named this project TLS, and moved on to get some feedback.

Since Jonathan had no experience in the pop/indie market, he didn´t know where to send his demo. By late 2003 the artist José Gonzalez had made a huge success in Sweden with his acoustic indie music. Jonathan looked up the label, Imperial Recordings, which was a new indie label. In eraly 2004 Jonathan gather courage, and walked by that very recordlabel, and gave them his demo containing 2 tracks.

Some months passed, and then came the call from the recordlabel. Jonathan was now asked to make some more tracks, and in late 2004 TLS signed for an album release. Jonathan has now completed his album, which is released 7 November 2007.
