Tin Bangs

Rock / Indie / Alternative

Toronto, Canada

Billboard

Tin Bangs have quickly established themselves as a premiere unsigned act in Canada's largest talent pool. Ben Taylor (vocals, guitar), Phil Darling (bass, vocals) Bryan Dunlay (guitar) and Robbie Butcher (percussion, vocals) have forged an intense new sound that incorporates the most exciting elements of rock, fusing the raw power of 70's punk with the melodic hooks of today's headlining acts.

Tin Bangs command the stage with a rock n' roll swagger usually reserved for seasoned veterans of the rock clubs. Having entered the game a little over a year-and-a-half ago, the boys have catapulted their signature sound out of the small club and onto the big stage, opening for such bands as The Killers, Editors, Art Brut, Datarock and many others.

Tin Bangs has cultivated a core following and strong international street-level presence. The band consistently sells out headlining shows in Toronto and are poised for the next stage of their skyrocketing career trajectory.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music!

Greetings! On Saturday night, we'll be hitting the stage at Lee's Palace for the first time ever!!! This is an extra-special show commemorating the craziness of our 2007 "Sweet Release" party series, during which we recorded, produced and self-released monthly free 3-song EPs... at Lee's we will be releasing a special one-time only compilation disc with all of the songs from 2007 combined. Don't miss out! The show is going to be huge - along with us, there are three other excellent bands playing. We're pumped to be co-headlining with These Electric Lives, with iSpies and Songs From A Room opening the night. For those who don't know, Lee's Palace is on Bloor St just east of Bathurst. It's a Toronto rock institution! After seeing so many amazing bands there it's an honour to be playing that stage... which will also be in fine holiday decor! Cover is $8, but, in the spirit of the season, if you bring in a non-perishable food item, cover is reduced to $6. We'll be coordinating drop-off of the food donations with These Electric Lives. Onward and upward, TIN BANGS http://www.myspace.com/tinbangs http://www.tinbangs.com http://www.virb.com/tinbangs
