Part of me is glad that my internet sucks right now, because it gives me an excuse (that isn't work) to get out of the house. The other part of me fucking hates it because it means that I can't save, upload, or even view pictures. Boo.
The crazy old man that was so mean to me is checking out a book right now. He was such a jerk. Kind-of sad, though. Anyway.
I've been discovering Fairhope to be much more interesting than I originally thought. There are lots of neat little shops, and I like walking around town a lot.
I'm happy that it's summer (well, almost) because the weather's warmer. Okay, okay, it's hot. The weather here is always warm, but now it's hot, and I like it. I don't like cool weather. I like weather so hot that if you're not swimming or inside, you feel like you're dying. A breeze is sometimes nice, but not when you're swimming. That's too cold when you get out.
I have quite a few errands to run today. Not really. I've got today off, and truthfully, I don't know what to do with myself. I was going to go to the beach with Christy, but she ended up having to work today, which kind-of sucks. I think I'll just go get one of those sticker things so I can go to the bay and take pictures of the ducks and stuff. That should be fun.
I've been trying to lose weight for some time now, but I haven't really been trying. Ever since Howard got out of bootcamp and I saw him and he looked amazing, though, I've been kind-of determined to finally get rid of all of the weight I gained my senior year of high school (three years ago). I guess I should finally crack down, which means no more burgers and fries and good stuff like that. It's cool, though, because I like veggie burgers and good-for-me stuff, too.
I've been drinking a lot of water, lately. And by "drinking a lot of water" I mean that's all I drink. Yeah, I drink variations on water, like Vitamin Water, Propel, and water with small amounts of juice in it, but I still drink nothing but water. And the quarter-of-a-milkshake I had last night. I like water. I tried to share a soda with my brother when we went to the movies, but I ended up buying a bottle of water.
I went to Chicago two weeks ago, and that was so much fun. I met Howard's dad and stepmom for the first time (totally scary), but they liked me. I went to a Navy bootcamp graduation, and that was so cool. I'm so proud of Howard. We went to the Navy Pier, ate at a really good seafood restaurant, walked Michigan Ave. (and went into Tiffany's), went to Shedd Aquarium (and saw a dolphin show and a really cute river otter), and ate at some other really good restaurants. I had a blast, and it was great to see Howard again. I miss him like crazy.
My internet time is about to expire, so I'll end this here. Maybe I'll take a picture of something cool and upload it here.
