This was filmed at the Massa Elephant camp outside of Chiang Mai. I wanted to make something for my niece and nephews, as well as for their mom, my sister, who had a favorite book when she was young called, “The Elephant who Liked to Smash Small Cars.” This place is very touristy with the Elephants trained to kick soccer balls and dance, but I didn’t want to show that stuff as I suspect they’d rather be doing something else.
