Rock music is ever changing and evolving. We want to add to the "cannon" of recorded music, nothing more, nothing less. The world makes money off of music, but too many times people are in the "business" for the money alone. Forget that. This music comes from our hearts and we hope people around the world will eventually respond to it. Download it for free, please. We call ourselves The Transcenders for now, but anything is possible, who knows what the future holds...?!?!?
I guess formal biographies are good, so here is something to chew on:
"One day, Trevor and Matt met in Florence, AL. One day, John and Justin met in Fayette, AL. Then we all somehow met in Murfreesboro, TN, and started playing bongos. Then we got more money, and got some "instruments traditional". Then Matt Simpson heard us and said, "damn." And then he joined because we needed us a drummer. The Transcenders had their first full practice in May of 2007, and have played in and around Nashville ever since. We will be recording a new record in February of 2008 and will have that up as soon as possible."
Our Influences: of coruse we cannot list everybody we like, that would take forever. More accurate, we sound like an amalgam of these people kind-of/maybe ---- Rolling Stones, The Who, CCR, Velvet Underground, Talking Heads, XTC, Husker Du, Fugazi, New Pornographers, Built to Spill, Yo La Tengo, REM, Can, Foo Fighters, Yes, Sonic Youth, Jethro Tull, J & M Chain, Rickie Lee Jones, Bob Dylan, Flying Burrito Bros., more bands forming in the future that are unheard of as of yet.

Gagosian Liga says:
"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music!
