The Sunnyboy Trio is a journey on the rhodes of freedom to the world of jazz, house, broken-beat, soul, dub and funk. Sunnyboy (Wilson Padmos) brings his soulful, funky touch on the fender rhodes to a sound that is informed as much by Herbie Hancock as it is by Jazzanova. The Sunnyboy Trio is a true hybrid collective, with funky fender bass (Mark Campbell) rubbing up against sampled sound and abstract electronic textures, while driving acoustic drums and cymbals (Ryan Davis) meld with electronic rhythms.
