Fun Firefox Add-Ons

4 comments | posted May 19

I started using Firefox on my Mac again instead of Safari because I couldn't load some things with Safari. It had been a while so I had to update to FIrefox 2.0. I am now a happy man. Right on the Mozilla site you can customize your Firefox browser with themes and add-ons. The best thing I've found is the Ad Blocker Plus. You install it then all you have to do is when you see an ad, right click it and click "block ad" and you will no longer have to look at the sumo guy your supposed to slap or pin the tail on the donkey or viagra or whatever they're advertising. It's pretty sweet. You can usually choose to "block frame" too which means any time you go to that site, the frame the ad is in will be blocked.

Once again, I'm a big geek but hey this is actually pretty awesome. Until next time . . . brush your teeth? I need a new sign off.

I won't believe you're a geek until you start using Opera and start talking about the cool widgets.

Uhm . . . I use Opera on my Wii. I own a Wii. I also have a Lightsaber widget on my Mac . . . I think I qualify for geeky.

Ok maybe. But you're still a little too hip to be that geeky, because you can play real guitar (as opposed to just Guitar Hero).

But now I have Wii envy...I guess Freud was right :(

If you haven't given Camino a spin, it's worth your time. Mozilla power, mac style -- or so they say... It's so freaking snappy. Seriously, fire it up and login to virb before firefox even opens. If I wasn't so married to a couple of firefox plugins, I'd be a monogamous camino man. 1.5 just released.http://www.caminobrowser.org/
