Rob Montejo and Monika Bullette make music together.
The Sky Drops are gaze-grunge duo Rob Montejo (ex Smashing Orange) and Monika Bullette and are based in Wilmington, Delaware, USA.
The Sky Drops just returned from a successful Southern California Tour and 3k Midwest tour in May. Amongst other gigs they are playing the Clean Air, Clear Stars Festival outside of LA in July.
Rob and Monika's beautiful harmonies are intensified by swimming blissed-out guitars and no-nonsense drumming. The duo has been likened to a "shoegazing Everly Brothers".
"A nod to the early 90's shoegaze. Yet it's more accessible and less willfully obtuse. Rather than gazing down at shoes and laces, The Sky Drops play with their heads held high."

Really like the music, got quite a heavy feel to it, and not in a metal way. Wish I could make the upcoming show, but prior plans have me occupied.
