We.re THE.skamikazzes, and WELCOME to our VIRB profile!!! We are a seven piece Ska band from Sugar Land, TX. We like having fun and skank.n around to Ska tunes! We are all into blasting out some mad brass lines, taking long, romantic walks on the bass, throwin' down insane guitar leads, rappin' out some beats for some foot tappin', and of coarse, inspiring world peace and tranquility with such... inspiring and... tranquil vocals...

It. s been awhile since an update, and for this we offer our deepest apologies. Now that schools finally out and the summer months have arrived we are gonna strut our stuff and get this party hoppin', or should I say, skankin', once again! So, first off you may have noticed some new and missing faces... I shall explain... Our bassist, Matt Kubanda, sadly informed us Monday, May 28th, close to time for us to leave for the studio, that he would not be able to continue his position as bassist in THE.skamikazzes due to many other engagements in his life. We still love the guy and will miss him terribly. This being said, within ten minuets of receiving the news with Matt, Travis picks up his phone to invite Taylor Palmer to fill our vacant bassist spot. Taylor was at our door within thirty minuets of the call and is now the newest addition to our family! He learned our song in no time and recorded with us all night... what a guy man, what a guy! As for our brass section, well, Greg Muth, our mellophone player, and, Tanner Smith, our trumpet player, have had to resign due to Drum Corpse. This summer Greg will be marching for Santa Clara Vanguard and Tanner will be with Carolina Crown. We still love these guys too and support them with everything we.ve got! We have decided not to replace Greg's position due to confidence in our current brass section the way it is. However, we of coarse had to get a new trumpet and Eric Ponder eagerly volunteered to do the job! All this being said, we are doing nothing but moving forward and are very excited about this summer! We will be writing tons of new stuff and learning a few new covers here and there and will be getting a schedule of shows up very soon!

We.ve got something pretty special on our site now! That.s right, "Coach Bag" is UP! May 28th was our first trip to the big studio and we had a BLAST! Hope you guys enjoy what you hear, we most DEF enjoy what we play! ***
