The Simple Discussion is anything but simple. The unique sound of transcendent vocal patterns, convoluted cadence of acoustic and electric guitars, topped off by sonic percussions distinguishes them from other bands in the local Denver music scene. The Simple Discussion was started in the summer of 2005 by singer/songwriter Paul Wineinger. What started off as a solo project aside from his band, This Night's Dream, The Simple Discussion became Paul's new passion for musical production. Nick Wineinger, lead guitarist and older brother to Paul, joined The Simple Discussion in winter of 2005. The two wrote their first song titled "Don't Shiver" and knew they had something going. In search of a fuller sound, Ryan Knauff (drums) and Ryan Williams (bass) were added to The Simple Discussion. The group began recording their EP Safelight in the summer of 2006. Unfortunately, before they could finish the EP Ryan Knauff left the band to pursue his academic endeavors. After weeks of searching for a replacement, the remaining members discovered drummer Luke Osborn. Luke proved to be a perfect match and the band went on to finish their EP. The Simple Discussion is fairly new to the Denver music scene, but their popularity is spreading fast. Their EP, Safelight, has been well recieved by fans of all genres. Be sure to check it out... it will not disappoint!
