These Silent Movies

Post Hardcore / Rock / Emo

Wakefield, United Kingdom

Billboard

Two years, over fifty shows and several recording sessions, Wakefields These Silent Movies are a band dynamically developing their own Post Hardcore sound and having themselves seen and heard all over the UK and beyond. Mixing influences from both the mainstream, underground, past and present the band offer something diverse in their approach that also favours both writing and playing for the song.

From the same city as several high profile punk rock bands such as Milloy, Pylon, Chopper and Dugong, These Silent Movies stay true to the DIY ethic and have pride in their ability to sustain artistic integrity in their music and everything that is associated with it. The band have completed in April this year a week long north of England tour and with the addition of two new members (Rick & Steve) are on the eve of putting the finishing touches to writing and recording their debut album.

Well, there are two hosts. A friend of mine on the site and I host the msuic show. Our job is to find not-so-known bands, get them to let us play a couple of their songs and that's it. We basically try to widen Mibbians' horizons (most of them are stuck to MCR). We're still unsure about the concept.

It got deleted 'cause I put 69 as my age. I didn''t read the Terms of service, where it says it's forbidden. I'll probably have to make a new one because of my new job. I'll get back to you on this once I arrange everything with the other host. Mibba isn't a croatian site. Users are people from Australia, Asia, USA, Europe, etc.

Okay, I have a question. This website I'm addicted to has started a radio. I'm one of teh hosts of the show about music. Our job is to find some good, less known bands and we play a couple of their songs, talk about them, etc. I thought of you. Mibba has almost 15 000 users, so you being on played on our radio would be a good ad. If you give us your approval I'll give you the link once the show's made. If you're intererested, let me know. The sooner the better (:

Well, I can't download In the arms of the city (which is one of my favourites) and Where we're going we don't need roads. Link? Croatia's awesome, except for the temperatures. The weather's actually weird here. Three days ago it was so hot that I thought I was gonna vapour and now it's hot for an hour or two and then it gets colder and rains. :/ I hope you'll perform here one day. It would be nice. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Oh and btw a made a myspace page. I'll add you guys today or tomorrow morning since it's after midnight here.

Yeah, she's a very good friend of mine. We LOVE your music! And yes, I know about the name change. I googled you :} And I've seen your myspace page, but I don't have one so all I can do there is listen to your music (which I've already downloaded). Maybe I'll make one. And just to make it clear, I'm not a stalker or anything - I just really enjoy your music.
