The Search Map are a band form three small towns just outside Manchester, England. We formed somtime around the second half of 2004, and spent most of that time between our practice space or being cramped up & half volume at Nick and Maffs house writing songs and making noises using guitars, various samplers/drum machines, shitty keyboards, good keyboards, drums, melodica, glockenspiel, Children's toys, vocals and anything else they can get their hands on. In the last two years we have gathered together a whole load of home recordings and abandoned most of them, before first venturing into the studio in December 2005. We have recoded three cd's so far the last one being the 'Tiny Victories E.P which we put together (with some artwork from Liam Palmer) and sell ourselves at gigs and through this page.

The Search Map lurk in basements, in the tree house, in graveyards blowing up computer monitors and use our hands,ears and hearts and to make music.

Often for months on end we are not to be seen.
