A beginning...
With heavy heart and heavier, albeit tightly-waistcoated girth, I have risen from my dusty tomes and sallied forth to dabble with the digitally displaced who inhabit the internet. As my batman* prods the keyboard at my command, the thoughts and fears of The Major are apparently, transmitted into the ether where they will be viewed by few, despised by most and cast forever into the electronic equivalent of the River Lethe. Or am I being a tad pessimistic? No, I thought not...

Painting myself into a corner Sep 11
I revelled in the ease with which I could see myself painting an entire room in 20 minutes. This was a foolish foray into paint pornography. For goodness sake, even cleaning out my paint tray took me 20 minutes.

My dear Major, it is so good to see you fully functional again. Have no fear of any ill will felt by your colonial cousins.
