DJing
I've been DJing for 11 years because I love the music and the challenge of making something new with a mix. If I were doing it for any other reasons, they fell along the wayside long ago. I've had plenty of times I've wanted to give it up, but my reasons for continuing go right to the core of who I am.
I'm humbled by the amount of talent out there on the decks, but I'm not in competition with anybody except myself.
Producing
I started out using Impulse Tracker and releasing .MODs for free through a group called "Space Invaders". A decade and several new programs and hardware upgrades later, I'm still making music mostly for myself and releasing it for free. However, just because it's free doesn't mean it's not valuable. Check out the sounds and judge for yourself. I see music as a communal artform, and it's my privelege to give back after receiving so much.

His name is Steve. He was born in Milan, then a bunch of crazy stuff happened. Now he lives in Portland Oregon, where he crafts his own unique blend of electronic music. www.letsgooutside.com www.myspace.com/letsgooutside www.virb.com/letsgooutside free download @ www.oneweektolive.com Soma have decided to release a free single! It will be released exclusively with One Week To Live as the UK magazine prepares to go completely digital. The decision came after Soma were tiring of seeing releases on illegal mp3 websites. It will be available athttp://www.OneWeekToLive.com Who better to try out such an experiment than the debutant Let's Go Outside. Following massive response from the likes of Josh Wink, Ivan Smagghe and Andrew Weatherall for his debut release on Soma's experimental offshoot Pnuma Records, Soma believe that it's only right for Let's Go Outside to play with the big boys on this release. Let's Go Outside hails from Portland, Oregon where he first released on small local experimental label, Buried In Time. He then moved onto Bradford-based Midnight Recordings before being picked up by Pnuma shortly after. Citing his influences as "techno, techno, techno and Tetris", LGO also takes inspiration from IDM, ambient and electro, all of which are evident in this three-tracker. Early 2008 will see the re-release of I'll Lick Your Spine by LGO (originally on Pnuma). This will feature remixes by Massi DL and label mate, Vector Lovers. Let's Go Outside's debut album, 'A Picnic With The Hunters', is due for release in January 2008.
