Dark Folk music - solo artist
Tales of mystery, loss, dreams and dark places
...................................................................................
Instruments used:
-Classical and acoustic guitars
Hand drums....Dulcimer....Wood....
Sticks....Bones....Rain....Leaves....Sounds of Autumn
...........................................................
-Minimalist folk music:
*The songs on this site were recorded from fall of 2006 to winter of 2007.
They were recorded with one microphone.
To capture the proper mood,
the recordings were done live with few exceptions.
There are no electric instruments involved.
Full album planned for Autumn of 2008.
.........................................
Not concentrating on complicated arrangements
or over-complex song structure, Splinterskin
allows the listener to feel the story with simple
patterns, notes and words while holding deep meaning.
The atmospheres are natural...the stories,
while often grounded in fantasy,
reflect elements of our reality which is often overlooked, if noticed at all.
Comfort is found in the shadows of Splinterskins
lyrics and sounds. So rest, remember and reflect.
