On his debut album, Selectone invites you to an exploring trip. A trip to uninhabited ambient landscapes, colored by introverted moods and melodies. Spinning out the spire of hi-freq emotions again and again. Connecting wires at dead levels of understanding. Skew rhythms, shattering beats, trembling drones melting-down with noises, distant voices and sound-dust, back to the primal silence. That's the metaphysics of his own. Take a breath and immerse yourself into the deep space of Selectone.
"...Let it be said straight away that it is an intriguing release (...) Selectone has added another chapter to the story about individual sounding productions..." [Bell 03, Electronic Desert, 13.08.2007]
Selectone was set up in 2004 by David Rambousek, a musician from Czech Republic and co-founder of DIY label Mufonic Recordinx (now he heads the label Ressonus Records). Born in 1975, he began his electronic experiments in 1993. Nowadays he opted for the old and often damaged instruments to shape his specific sound. Selectone works with glitches, tape manipulations, sound deconstruction & recyclation and field recordings. His aim is to push the lo-fi sounds through various styles to the ambient perfection.

Unearthed is a dark Holger Czukay of an album. All of the sonic ingredients are there: scratchy vinyl, old records found in an attic, chewed up martial-music excerpts, white noise, field recordings. Stitched together into a challenging rhetorical question. This is a finely crafted work of depth that ultimately rewards with impressions like the burn-shadow of an atomic bomb victim on some Nagasaki hard-standing.
