Go Like Hell The Best Band in Seattle Right Now Blah blah Seattle is so influential.. Dude this one time I saw... Piss off pricks.. First Off Seattle Music in general isn't from seattle.. it's from all sorts of places like Lake Stevens, Marysville, Redmond, Tacoma, and oh lets not forget about Olympia and Everett.. Yes I said it Everett! Never heard of bands like the Accused, Coven, the Dehumanisers, Saber, Dumt, Bigtop, or the like? Well like I said earlier Piss Off! Maybe I am just angry and venting but i'm not alone. - NOFX's song - E is for Everett, Rancid's Song - Olympia Washington.. Hmm there is something to this? - Well since there is a shit ton of bands in this reigon and about 98% of them suck shit I am always amazed when I Stumble across one I actually really like.. and not with a "there pretty good for being a crappy little band from here".. American Hardcore - Movie We're from Seattle, and since we're in Seattle we had to watch movies like Hype show about 10% of our musical culture to the masses and exploit it for marketing purposes behind a shield of underground music, little guy, masks. People who acutally have gone out to more than one club, and might actually know a few bands themselves however are not easily fooled. Oh well it's always neat to see places/people you know on film right? Well lets take Hardcore Punk, which is quite possibly the only truly socialy concious music left. Is there bands like Dead Prez in hip hop? Yes, are there Acivist singers in the folk genera Still? Yes. but in all True Hardcore Punk Bands are the ones caring the flag at the momment. So lets make a documentary about this "movement" shall we? We'll go find every pissed off has been or sell out we can and talk to them.. Lets find those guys in Flipper - hmm.. there Fucking Hardcore right? wait wait I know we'll get Henry Rollins - um didn't he start that band the "Rollins Band" and play woodstock? - oh no wait we'll get Corrosion of Conformity .. Punk? eh.. Thrash maybe.. and we'll end the whole thing by saying Hardcore's Dead.. Well I'll tell you one thing! besides the Cross Over pukes who went to thrash or metal and these Fake Piles of crap like Avenged Sevenfold and such there is and always will be true Hardcore out there! - hmm where was MadBall or Sick of it All in this Documentary? - Well They did have Vinny Stigma in the film for all of 30 Seconds - where they purposly trying to not show bands with 20+ years under their belts? - and Fuck american Hardcore with very few execptions - if it isn't in NY it isn't hardcore! - Hatebreed - Dynamic band - barely punk - but hardcore all the same - Terror - Nice Like you guys! - Champion - Seattles Own - but if your going for anything with a legacy why leave out NY! Agnostic Front! - and what about Europe? a small mention of GBH and the Exploited is great but common! These guys are fucking legends!
