Bored with their previous punk and metal bands, Banderas formed in Cincinnati, Ohio during late 2003 to make eclectic rock and roll without limitations of style and to just play what comes naturally.

What comes naturally is a blend of rock that is sometimes smooth and noir-ish, sometimes frantic and paranoid, and sometimes thrashes like a tyrannosauraus set loose upon a theme park. Invoking images of classic movies filtered through an old televison set inside some dimly lit seedy motel room; Banderas is dark and obtuse, yet still lives out the tongue-in-cheek ethos of rock and roll.
