Good evening Virb. Since I'm feeling lazy tonight, I'm just going to copy my little matchbox biography over from that other site that we don't like to mention. Enjoy!
Musician, college student, Kiwi, Quaker, folkie, jazzer, vegetarian, pacifist, Northumberland resident, part-time cyclist, seventeen-year-old. Putting it all in a list makes it a bit simpler.
Recently I've realised that I'm hopeless at describing myself, hence the simplicity. I live for peace, love and expression - music is my usual way of doing that, or trying - sometimes with words and sometimes without. Occasionally I like to dabble in drama or prose or written poetry or drawing or photography. but usually music. Things that I've done in the past include playing the clarinet and violin, wearing glasses, having long hair, kayaking, going to school, being a child.
Things that I want to do in the future (and some now) include teaching music for real, singing and playing the guitar well, communicating musically with an audience as if we were having a really gripping conversation, going off and seeing the world, being able to find my way around the keys rock-solidly and without thinking at the same time, writing lyrics that people can really relate to, being able to talk emotionally with somebody just as well with notes as with words, having long hair, being one of the many that change the world together, being physically active, being properly in love, being confident and mentally sound, breaking down the walls of genre for good and bringing music, words and the means to make them to people who need them.
Obviously, there's so much more stuff I want to do than I have done - but I've got quite a few decades yet, so I'm not worrying.
