Have you checked out Kate Walsh? She's very mellow, folky and (dare I say it?) almost country. Currently loving her cd, Tim's House, which was aptly titled because it was recorded in her friend Tim's house. Also, in the more mainstream category, Mary J. Blige's "The Breakthrough" is sort of amazing and well worth checking out and Timbaland's "Shock Value" is quite good as well.
