It's funny that in almost all traditions, Mara refers to death or bitterness...but my direct influence comes from two meanings for the word...it is the Irish word for Sea and the Hebrew word for bitter (in the book of Ruth, Naomi changes her name to this). So a kind of bittersweet name I think.

hmm, i just turned in an application for memorial hospital. who knows, i might be working close to where you live, this summer :) only downside, it might be the night shift. but who knows. hope steve's interview goes well.
