Buffering...

After some juggling, it has been decided that Migration is going to be kind of its own thing, a concept album of sorts. Before this sort of creative change would send me off for days worrying about, well, everything under the sun. But not anymore. The gist of Migration does not fit the bulk of the songs I want to put out now, and so Que Dalle will soon be born. At least in demo form.

This year was the year I finally believed the following:

It's ok if that song sucked, I'll just make more!

I guess before I thought I only had so many songs in me. Thankfully, songs aren't novels and stand up much better to tweaking. They constantly evolve even after they're complete. Which is more positive than saying that they're never really complete. This is why I don't care if I ever attempt another novel.

Yes, I have written one, and I may publish it via Lulu one day under a pen name so as not to embarrass myself and any possible progeny.

Big plans for 2008. Plans that include artistic management. Whether my own or by a professional in that field remains to be seen. So far, there are 9 complete (working on bass tracks soon. Help me, Thunderfingers! Of course, if I could channel John Entwistle, well, I wouldn't be looking for day job, now would I?). Two more tunes (one penned in Barcelona at 4 a.m.) are still a little rough, but will soon be ready! My hope is to have everything done and mastered by February 1st of next year, so expect some demo-y goodness soon!
