Hi Friends. In case you haven't heard, Blood:Water Mission is putting on a cross country bike ride called the Ride:Well Tour to raise funds and awareness for the need for clean water in Africa. Our cross country team is coming through Nashville this Saturday and you will have the opportunity to join them in a city ride through the Shelby Bottoms Greenway. The ride will kick off at 9am at Rocketown downtown on 6th Ave. Be there between 8-9am to get registered. Registration is available day of on-site at Rocketown for $40 or at www.ridewelltour.com for $35. Check out the website for more info on the route, read cyclists blogs and track the progress of the team. Now grab your bike and let's get outside!
Blood:Water Mission would also like to invite you to a special benefit concert this Sunday night July 13th at 8pm at 3rd and Lindsley. Come to see performances by Sixpence None the Richer and Matthew Perryman Jones that will be broadcast live on Lightning 100!

in my opinion the whole "nude" theme on the new sigur rós album was a poor marketing decision. while the band may think it's great to have naked people run around everywhere in their videos and on their album cover i believe it made them lose some of their mystery... from a branding perspective it seems like they may have pushed their limits too hard... now don't get me wrong i am still a huge fan of the band and the new album, but i don't think the nudist movement is something a lot of seasoned sigur rós fans sign on to... most of the sigur rós fans i know love then because of the almost "spiritual" quality in their music which i feel is lacking in their new marketing.
