Reason 4.0 Jan 14
Hello again, ok I have slacked off since before the holidays, so I better get back on track. In the spirit of MacWorld starting tomorrow, I'll talk about some geekery. Yesterday I picked up a copy of Reason 4.0! I've been looking forward to this move. Some of my favorite ...
A musical outlet to keep me occupied, Plastic Minds has been an evolution of sorts over the last 8-9 years. Despite my roots being more into blues since learning the harmonica 13 years ago, I have been attracted to many electronic sounds. I explored this using Propellerhead's Rebirth back in the day, putting some quick techno tracks together or just jamming out with friends. I now graduated to Reason 3.0 which I have been creating most of what you hear on this page. I love melancholy music, techno, industrial, anything with cold emotion. I love processed drums, 303 screams, and strings. You'll hear all of that here. I tend to move towards pop structures, and use Underworld and Orbital as big influences on melodies. Nine Inch Nails has played a roll on my sound since long before dabbling with this, so hats off to them. That's about it, hope you enjoy!
Underworld, Led Zeppelin, Nine Inch Nails, VNV Nation, LCD Soundsystem, The Knife, KMFDM, BT, Aphex Twin, Velapene Screen, Scrap.edx, Bob Dylan, Beck, Covenant, Converter, The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Juno Reactor, The Who, Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, M83, Fischerspooner, The Flaming Lips, Four Tet, Battles, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, The Future Sound of London, Joy Division, New Order, The Juan Maclean, The Kills, Meat Beat Manifesto, Modest Mouse, The Orb, Orbital, Peter Bjorn & John, Plastikman, Ritchie Hawtin, Primal Scream, The Prodigy, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Pixies, Roni Size, Sasha, Tiefschwarz, Tool, UNKLE, Van Halen, Wagonchrist, The Vines... And anything else that rocks.

You have the audacity to play the harmonica in an electronic setting? You've got balls. Hats off to you, sir.
