About Us

Christine and I (Oscar) were engaged on June 4th, 2008. I (Oscar) proposed on the last day of school Wed. at Ronald Reagan High School to my beautiful fiancee. We meet at Ronald Reagan High School as fellow teachers and even though it took us a year to actually start talking to each other...I knew that she was someone special (we taught right across from each other for two years). Now this is where stories diverge...Christine started the communication between us by presenting me with an award at school and continued by inviting me to a Reagan Football Game...and while I remain convinced that this was you're first date she disagrees. She contends that the first date was when I ask her out to dinner a week later. Well...whatever the case I knew she was someone special and fell in love not to long after...we dated for about two years until I finally got the courage to ask her parents for permission and ask her for her hand in marriage....and since we are both leaving to a new school next year Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson High School I found it finding that I should ask her at the place we meet on our last day.

Missing Piece... Jul 29

As I sit hear writing my first blog on this website missing my fiancee and I reminded of a book (The Missing Piece) I read as a kid by the great and popular author Shel Silverstein.

It was missing a piece
And it was not happy
So it set off in search
of its missing piece
And as it rolled
It sang this song -
"Oh I'm looking for my missin' piece
I'm looking for my missin' piece.
Hi-dee-ho, here I go,
Lookin' for my missin' piece."

I don't think there's ever a better feeling when you find your missing piece. The piece that challenges you, comforts you, loves you, the piece that completes you. I have found my missing piece and have never been happier. However, my missing piece has left me for a week on a vacation...its times like these that you realize the importance of your missing piece. She will soon return and restore my balance, my sanity. Come home soon missing piece!!!
