Oo-ray, my shoegaze solo project, started about three years ago after I was burned out from playing electronic music as part of my band Ainu. All I really wanted to do was listen to Loveless over and over and over again.

It was a while before I realized that I could explore melodies and distortion on my own. I bought a guitar, some pedals, and started recording. After about two years of experimentation, the tracks for Postcards started to emerge.

Currently, I am working on a live set incorporating live looping of my cello playing through effects and computer. My goal is to be the acoustic My Bloody Valentine. :) You can hear an example in the track called Eagrestretch.

Hi Folks,

Glad to announce that now I have an EP released at ckid and nicholas saez's (not-so-new) netlabel, starvingbuthappy. Free, free, for you and me!

It's called the Carnot Cycle EP and available here:
