Hailing from Kansas City, Oh Blessed Thought was formed in late summer of 2006 by a close knit group of friends with a common love for music. They began writing shortly after with a range of influences spanning from folk to indie rock. The next few months were filled with basement writing sessions fueled by a desire to make music they could call their own. In the summer of 2007, Oh Blessed Thought began recording at Hyde Park studio in Kansas City. The result of this effort can be heard on their debut full length album entitled, Light a Lamp, Sweep the House, released through BeatOven Records. Oh Blessed Thought strives to make every live performance a memorable one. From group vocals, to stomps and claps, there is a strong sense of companionship throughout the live set. Oh Blessed Thought continues to play local and regional shows in support of their debut release.

so...i dont really know you all, but i saw you were from olathe kansas...and i have a contact there. do you know ken kersten? hes the senior minister at some christian church down there. LOVE that guy. hes awesome. so if you need a venue, im sure hed hook you up.
