Come discover a pop sound that's at once eclectic and electric, for the 21st-century schizophrenic has finally arrived in the form of My Lullaby. Thanks to their unique brand of music, the group have garnered an ever-growing audience since their performance at the Transmusicales Festival in 2004. They incorporate various styles to produce their many musical combinations, creating a subtle alchemy by drawing on a multitude of influences, from the progressive spirit of King Crimson, energy of Supergrass, dandyism of Bowie, ornate science of Radiohead and Burt Bacharach to the melodic spirit of the Beatles. In this way, they achieve an undeniably original and energetic rock sound. My Lullaby's 6 musicians collaborate to distil schizophrenic pop-rock, meshing together a plethora of musical styles. Their first album is a perfect reflection of this, as are their performances at venues including l'Olympic, la Cité, l'Omnibus, la Passerelle, l'Ubu, l'Antipode and festivals such as the Transmusicales and Art Rock. Formed in Rennes in August 2004, My Lullaby is the perfect incarnation of their music onstage: each song sounds different, yet they link together as the musicians trade instruments throughout the show, building up to the ultimate lullaby. But take care not to judge this group solely by their name - My Lullaby are not here to sing you to sleep.
