So, I find it weird that I also had a one-eyed cat living on my street in Venice Beach. Except with that cat, someone, quite literally, took a marble and jammed it into its eyesocket. It was the most bizarre looking thing and Ieven have pictures somewhere but I am not going to dig them up.
This was taken just a day after Hubert got his pop in the eye. I think it lends credence to Cyclops being involved, since he simply hasn't been around for a while. I get the feeling that Hubert has has been keeping him away, because when we first got here, his claws were all ground up from running around on the rooftops, but they gradually got sharper. My assumption is that this is because he would start screwing with Cyclops and he would get a nice scratch (one time he had one on his chest that was almost to the muscle). So, he learned how to run around and not grind them up so he could fight back.
Cyclops ended up coming around the day after the ass-kicking. I like to think that he didn't really mean to eff Hubert up, so he came by to make sure he was ok. More likely, he was feeling it and decided Hubert wouldn't put up much of a fight for food.
It didn't matter anyway, because Helene went and got Huberts bowl and fed him some.
I love how Hubert is acting all chill and shiznit, like its all no big deal. But anytime he got close and Cyclops started to wheel around on him, he was out of there. You can kinda see how swollen his face still is; notice that you don't see his left eye.

Merci Cyclope ! Quel Courage ! ca meritait bien quelques croquettes...
