Well, most likely this page is just going to be full of people I already know, but in case you don't, I'm Michael Ferry, more commonly reffered to as "Joe". I grew up with my parents, teachers and close friends all calling me by my middle name, so it kind of stuck. What you may be hearing now is my music, something that I love to do, but doubt will catch on that much. I'd really like to get a three or four piece band together, even for a short while. Other than music I read quite a bit. Stephen King is my all-time favorite author, I must say. You'd be a maniac to deny the man's genius.
I listen to quite a lot of music. I'll listen to just about anything, as proven by my computer's playlist. Lately, though, I'm partial to any sort of jam-rock. I can't get enough of the improvised, uncanned sound that comes out of a long, live jam.
I guess my real dream in life is to record and produce music. I love playing, but I feel like there are others who can do it much better. I want to facilitate that for them, and let the world hear all of the good, underground music happening in basements and garages.
Enjoy the modest songs I've got up, and I hope to talk to you soon
See the Flaming Lips live, See the Flaming Lips live while stoned/fucked up/tripping/dropping anything, Listen to The Wall all of the way through without doing anything else, Yell at the screen during a horror movie in a theater full of white people, meet your hero, learn all of the words to Uncle Fucker and yell them at the top of your lungs in public, finish reading Atlas Shrugged, star in a play or musical, Hug someone you don't know, Get really nice headphones, study taoism, study buddhism, study hinduism, study scientology, study christianity, study anarchy, study communism, study REAL democracy, study a nymphomaniac, wonder whether or not Pink Floyd meant for Dark Side of The Moon to Line up with The Wizard of Oz, Love someone, Love two someones, Love a fuckload of people at the same time. Just remember to love, and you'll be happy.
I dig a lot of music. So much so, that I do not want to try to sum it up here. Rather, I'll just tell you to look up two bands that I really like at the moment that are half and half in obscurity. The Brian Jonestown Massacre is amazing, as they have been since the early/mid nineties, and if you don't like them, Anton Newcombe will kick you in the face. Margot & The Nuclear So and So's is brought forth by a love of Wes Anderson movies, Contempt for George Bush, and some amazing talent. Look them up, fo sho.
Army of Darkness (The Evil Dead movies are also recommended, but not needed to enjoy this movie), The original Living Dead Trilogy from George Romero, My Big Fat Independent Movie, Six-String Samurai, Every single movie that Wes Anderson has made, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Magnolia, and, last but not least, What the Bleep Do We Know?

Sorry, it took me so long to reply. I haven't been on this website in a while. Those are some pretty cool reccomendations and I'll check them out when I get the chance. I envy you for seeing Across The Universe because I have yet to see it. It was never in any theaters near me.

Yeah, "I'm Not There". I really want to see that. 7 different characters of Dylan, that's so amazing.
