Mending Wall was born in a typical suburban neighborhood in Northeastern Florida with its members hailing from various small towns outside the greater Jacksonville area. No set date can be applied to its formation, as founding singer/guitarists Jeff Beaver and Joey Campbell had been writing material that would eventually be used as long as they can remember. Several changes in members and musical tastes have brought Mending Wall to the state it is in now. The search for a dedicated rhythm section led to a friend who played drums: Steven Anan, and a bassist is yet to be found. In January 2007 the band began work on a self-recorded, self-produced album and posted the first song via Myspace, soon followed a month later with a second song.
